Gang member wanted for two aggravated assaults indicted
A suspected West Texas Tango gang member has been indicted accused of two attacks last month.
Matthew Benites, 26, is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated robbery in two crimes on Dec. 14.
Lubbock police report Benites threatened to shoot, than assault a Walmart employee. Investigators say Benites tried to rob a man a few minutes later and when the victim ran, Benites reportedly shot him in the back.
If convicted he faces up to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
