LUBBOCK, Texas - The 2019-20 Texas Tech women's golf schedule was announced Tuesday by head coach JoJo Robertson, featuring 11 regular season tournaments before the Big 12 Championships in late April.
The international slate of competition features a trip to Cabo, Mexico in the fall and a return to San Juan, Puerto Rico for the first time since 2017 in February. Tech will also play in the state of Texas on six occasions during their upcoming campaign, including four trips to Dallas and stops in San Marcos and Houston.
"Our players have had a great summer," head coach JoJo Robertson said. "They've competed well over the break and I can't wait to watch them come together as a team. We have some excellent tournaments lined up this year and our team will be fun to watch."
The Red Raiders open their season at the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas on Sept. 9. Tech previously competed at the annual event in 2017, where they logged a fourth-place finish.
Tech will then make its way north to play in the East/West Match Play (Sept. 22-24), hosted by the University of Wisconsin before appearing at the Illini Invitational (Oct. 7-8) for the second-straight year.
For the fourth-consecutive season, the Red Raiders will attend the annual Jim West Challenge, set to take place at the Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos (Oct. 20-21). The fall session will conclude with a trip to the Mexico for the Battle at the Beach (Nov. 1-3) in Cabo.

The Red Raiders will next begin a three-event stretch of events they played in a year ago, commencing with the Icon Invitational in Houston (Feb. 24-25). Tech will then look to defend its' team title at the Valspar Augusta Invitational in Georgia (March 14-15), followed by a reappearance at the Bruzzy Challenge (March 30-31), hosted by the University of North Texas.
The 2019-20 regular season will conclude in Baton Rouge at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic (April 4-5).
Tech returns three of the four golfers who played more than 30 rounds for the Red Raiders a year ago, including All-Big 12 standout Sofia Garcia, who snapped the school records for both single-season stroke average (71.56) and low round (64) a year ago.
Juniors Louisa Brunt and Amy Taylor will also return for the 2019-20 season, as both have played at least 47 rounds over their respective careers. Anna Dong and Cecilie Nielsen, as well as sophomore Destiny Arenas, round out Tech's veterans to couple with the arrival of freshmen Gala Dumez and Abby Van Cleave.
