Lubbock grand jurors indicted a 17-year-old for shooting a woman in October.
Jonathan Arredondo, 17, is accused of wounding Alexses Baiza, 19, on Oct. 30. He faces an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.
Court records show it started with a fight at the Garden Apartments near 66th and Avenue T. A couple groups of women were arguing, and several other people showed up, including Arredondo, police said.
Shooting broke out, and investigators said Arredondo wounded Baiza in the leg. She survived.
Investigators matched witness testimony describing Arredondo's weapon with an extended magazine to photos he had on Facebook.
Arredondo was also indicted for evading deputies in a vehicle and unauthorized use of a vehicle on Nov. 7.
If convicted for Baiza's shooting, Arredondo faces up to 20 years in prison.
