Lubbock Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army deliver to hundreds on Thanksgiving

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Lubbock Meals on Wheels and the Salvation Army partnered to deliver meals for more than 400 home-bound clients in our area. Along with the deliveries, volunteers also provided more than 500 meals on-site to any visitors.

"I just think it's so important to give back, and not just during the holidays, but all year-round.," Kimberly Lueb with the Salvation Army said. "Yes, we're most visible this time of year, but it's so important to just give somewhere. Give of your time, give of your resources, give of your talents just to help those in need during Thanksgiving and Christmas."

There are many ways you can help both the Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels. You can donate to the Red Kettle Campaign ongoing throughout the city or participate in the Angel Tree program. More information on these campaigns here.
