LUBBOCK, Texas -

Blue Sky Restaurant at 98th and Quaker offering $20 dollar gift cards for every angel in the Lubbock Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program that is returned with a gift.

Sponsors are still needed and for many of the children, these are the only gifts they open Christmas morning. General manager Aramando Perez said when given the opportunity to impact a child's life, he wants to be part of the change.

"What we try and do is we try to make an impact on a child's life by doing this program, participating in this program. And basically it's a way to give back to the community, you know, and also gives us a chance to be a part of, you know, making that change. It's a great program. I've been doing it in other restaurants for years. So, brought it here and it's a good thing," he said.
